Trans-Atlantic Expo 2007
(7th Annual International Market and Trade Exposition)

July 27 - August 1, 2007

Theme 2007: "Remember the Middle Passage: Act to repair the damage"

Lidj Yasu Omowale Emancipation Village
Jean Pierre Complex / Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port of Spain, Trinidad

"Rising to the challenge of global competitiveness in the dynamic setting of the Emancipation Village"

Here is an ideal opportunity to showcase your business. The Trans-Atlantic Expo 2007 will be the Emancipation Support Committee's eighth annual International Market and Trade Exposition. The Expo is now a dynamic and established component of the popular commemoration of emancipation in Trinidad & Tobago. The freedom festival, with its mix of commercial activity, education and entertainment, attracts tens of thousands of locals and visitors from abroad: business people, staff of regional and international agencies, scholars and regular tourists.
Trans-Atlantic Expo 2007 provides an opportunity to make new business contacts with entrepreneurs from Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean, the United States, West Africa, East Africa and Latin America. Participants can exhibit as well as sell products. The organizers facilitate targeted contacts with local business agencies on request.

Educational and fine art exhibitions are set up in surrounding buildings, where seminars and workshops take place. While the expo itself will bring business people together to get to know each other and engage in building business relationships, another complementary activity will expand the benefits of the overall program even further. For entrepreneurs to remain competitive in the modern world they have to constantly refresh their knowledge of the global economic environment and maintain a functional awareness of the ideas and forces shaping that environment. The Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment symposium on July 31, is designed to meet this need.
